Grand Cru 2011 started out as The Sultan. Brewed in March 2011 and then laid to rest in used Pinot Noir, French Oak barrels from Grove Mill Winery. Brettanomyces and Pediococcus was added for extra funk.

Brewed and barrelled at Renaissance Brewing, bottled at Invercargill Brewery. Apologies in advance for the wrinkled labels, the bottles  were slightly deformed, making it impossible to apply the label as intended. Beauty lies within!

Pacific Jade
Malt: 
Pilsner, Aromatic, Special B, Dark Crystal, and Wheat Extra: Sultanas, Belgian Dark Candi Sugar and Brazilian Raw Sugar
Yeast: 
Wyeast 3711 - French Saison. Brettanomyces, Pediococcus and residual wild wine yeast from the barrels.
